At United Way for Greater Austin, we believe that opportunity should be within reach for everyone, no matter their zip code, background, or income. Every day, we work to break down economic barriers and build pathways to success for children, families, and individuals across Central Texas.
Last year, thanks to the generosity of donors like you, we reached more than 60,000 neighbors with life-changing programs in education, financial stability, and health. These aren’t just numbers— They represent real people whose lives are being transformed.
Your gift today helps us continue this vital work. Whether it’s supporting high-quality early education, connecting families to essential resources, or helping individuals gain financial independence, your donation fuels progress and hope.
Together, we can build a community where everyone has the chance to thrive.
Thank you for being part of this movement.
With gratitude, Ingrid K. Taylor Chief Executive Officer | United Way for Greater Austin
True to our founding spirit, whenever there is a need in our communities, United Way is there. Your generous donation will be directed where it is needed most to help build a future where every person in Central Texas can thrive.
Join us in bringing our community together to break economic barriers and build opportunity for all, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

At United Way, we're creating a vibrant, economically secure space for everyone. Because when one of us suffers, we all suffer. And when everyone reaches their full potential, our entire community benefits and thrives.

- 1 in 6 local families worry about their ability to meet their basic needs, including food
- 1 in 1 local adults reports poor physical health
- More than 41,000 local children under the age of 6 live in households with low income (That's double the capacity of Q2 stadium!)
- 56% of households struggling to make ends meet are working full-time
Our Mission
We bring our community together to break economic barriers and build opportunity for all.

Community Data
Knowledge is power, but only when it is shared and acted upon. By investing in the collection and reporting of community data, we are not just tracking needs. We are equipping programs and agencies with the tools, training, and insight to respond effectively. This work ensures that every effort is informed, every resource is targeted, and every neighbor’s voice is heard. Together, we are building a Central Texas where decisions are driven by equity, clarity, and compassion.

Community Health and Resource Navigation
Access to health and basic needs is more than survival. It is the foundation of dignity and opportunity. By supporting programs that connect people to food, housing, healthcare, and essential social services, we are weaving a safety net that uplifts the entire community. This is not just about meeting urgent needs. It is about creating pathways to stability and wellness, ensuring that every individual has the chance to live a healthier, fuller life.

Early Learning
Every child deserves the chance to start strong. By championing early learning, kindergarten readiness, childcare, and wrap-around family supports, we are investing in the most critical years of development. This is more than preparing children for school. It is preparing families for success. Together, we are nurturing a generation of learners and leaders who will carry forward a vision of equity, resilience, and opportunity for all.

Economic Advancement
Economic stability is not a privilege. It is a right. By supporting programs that dismantle barriers to financial security, we are opening doors to training, employment, and long-term prosperity. This work is more than workforce development. It is a commitment to breaking cycles of poverty and building a community where every individual has the tools to thrive. When families achieve stability, our entire region grows stronger, more vibrant, and more just.
